We have a variety of breeds of varying heights - thoroughbreds and station cross breds. All are well schooled and cared for by a team of dedicated horsemen and women. You'll be matched to a horse most suitable to your riding experience and ability.

Yes, experienced riders will be offered plenty of opportunites to canter and others the chance to learn, however a certain level of safety has to be respected.

Yes. Every client is provided with protective head gear which must be worn at all times during the ride for your own safety.

Riding conditions in Glenorchy are generally good, invariably dry and sunny, however the weather can change rapidly so be prepared.

Not intentionally. The guides will always test the river crossings and lead groups across the rivers. If in doubt an alternative route will be taken.

Small cameras are welcome on all rides as there is a photo stop. However cameras should be securely fastened, either with a belt strap or in a zipped pocket. Cameras are carried at the riders own risk. We do not take any responsibility for any loss or damage. Large/bulky cameras are not recommended.

Child ages are deemed 15 years and under.

For the health and well being of our horses we have a rider weight limit of 95kg / 210lbs/ 15 st.

We take confident 7 year olds and for safety reasons do not allow younger children to do sit with their parents on a horse – it is 1 person per horse.

No, so please leave all valuables and important documents in your hotel’s safety box or similar. We do not take responsibility for any valuables or important documents left at our property.

For safety reasons backpacks or bags are not permitted to be carried by clients whilst on horseback.
